Attila has over 20 years of experience in mineral exploration and a track record in leading exploration teams, managing substantial exploration budgets, and executing large exploration and underground development programs with a strong focus on safety, community engagement, and corporate governance. He is currently the Manager of Rio Tinto Exploration Canada, supervising the company’s mineral exploration efforts across the country. Previously, Attila was a VP of Exploration at Wallbridge Mining Company where he played a pivotal role in the success of the Fenelon Gold project, overseeing its evaluation, due diligence, and acquisition, eventually leading to the discovery of a gold system with over 4 million ounces in current combined resources (earning his team the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association’s 2020 Discovery of the Year Award). Attila holds a Master’s degree and a PhD from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary.
