Presentation 3: Caring for Staff - A Traumatic Threat Case Study

About the Speaker
Cathy Pappas
Director of Registration
College of Immigration and Citizenship

Cathy Pappas is a seasoned regulatory executive, known for leading highly successful licensing regimes across Ontario. At the College, she is the inaugural Director, Registration, working across the organization to create a trusted regulator that is modern, agile, innovative and most of all, helpful. She works with her team to develop a big picture mindset that focuses on consumer protection and smart regulation.

This builds on Cathy’s work where, for more than 25 years, she has led and supported regulatory bodies (including the regulators for early childhood educators, retirement homes and property developers) on issues ranging from strategic management to maintaining best practices in a constantly evolving environment. The common themes running throughout her work are public protection, assessing risk and leading highly effective teams.
