Rocks & Robots: The AI Revolution in Geoscience
Chris Gerrits has both an undergraduate and a masters degree in Water Resource Engineering from the University of Guelph. Chris has over 25 years of experience in the field of groundwater exploration and testing as well as groundwater monitoring and sampling for the mining industry in Ontario. Chris is Director, Development, Land Development at Crozier Consulting Engineers working out of the Guelph office. Chris is also currently a member of three Source Water Protection Committees in Ontario, has participated in technical round table discussions with the Minister of Natural Resources on the proposed legislative framework for Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage and speaks frequently on the possible uses of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the water sector across North America.
