McLean Trott, Director of Orebody Knowledge at ALS GoldSpot Discoveries, recently completed a Ph.D at Queen's University entitled "Application of Computational Methods to Data Integration and Geoscientific Problems in Mineral Exploration and Mining", where he used data science to tackle several geoscientific problems at various scales.  His background is as an economic geologist and geochemist, having spent much of his career exploring for porphyry copper deposits in South, Central, and North America.
